"Mishneh Yadlin, Secretary of State for Industry and Technology Policy, met with Omney's Minister of Economy, Said Mohammed Al-Saqqary, in Budapest on Friday," the Ministry of Economic Development said.

During the talks, Yadlin, who represented Minister of Economic Development Martin Nagy, emphasized the need for both countries to begin broader cooperation. At the ceremony of the Hungarian-Omney Economic Cooperation Committee on June 15 in Budapest, the parties concluded that both countries have an interest in cooperation that promotes the transfer of technology and knowledge, the ministry said in a statement.

Omney is ranked 85th among Hungary's trading partners in 2022, with bilateral trade amounting to over $35 million, according to the statement. The relations between the two countries are traditionally extensive, and cooperation has been agreed upon in several important areas, which need to be further deepened, the Secretary of State said.

In addition to the oil industry, the two officials identified new opportunities in the manufacturing and technology sectors, and agreed to explore close cooperation between Hungary and Omney in these areas, the ministry said.
