
שבוע המאבק הלאומי – 21-25 בדצמבר: מחר נתחיל

It’s no doubt, the week of 21st-25th of December is a crucial time for the Turkish-Cypriot struggle, with ceremonies and events held throughout the week to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the fight for the existence and freedom of the Turkish-Cypriot people.
According to the plan announced by the Head of the Protocol Directorate and the Chairman of the Central Committee of National Days Celebrations, Asu Muhittinoglu, commemorative events will be organized by the Security Forces Command, Kr. Hvcl. Captain. Ibrahim Kootai will begin the ceremonies with a speech at 08:00 on Bayrak Radio and Television. The speech will be repeated at 18:00.
In Nicosia, two commemorative ceremonies will take place in honor of the National Struggle and Martyrs Week from tomorrow.
The first ceremony will be held in front of the Nicosia Martyrs Monument, starting at 09:30 with the laying of wreaths, gunfire, the national anthem, and the raising of flags. The President, along with the Commander of the Turkish Cypriot Security Forces, will sign the special Memorial Book in memory of the martyrs. This will be followed by a commemorative program at the Nicosia Cultural Center, where various speakers and performances will honor the fallen.
Similar ceremonies will be held in other districts such as Famagusta, Kyrenia, Güzelyurt, Lefke, and Iskele in various locations to mark the significance of the National Struggle and Martyrs Week. Prayers will also be offered for the fallen in mosques across the country.
Additionally, there will be a special symposium titled "Public Broadcasting in the Post-Truth Era" commemorating BRT's 60th anniversary during the week of the National Struggle and Martyrs from 21-25 December at Akpolatco Resort.
Throughout the week, it is important to recognize the sacrifices made and pay homage to those who fought for the freedom and dignity of the Turkish-Cypriot people.
