
64 Million Votes: A Historic Election Turnout

Turkey gears up for its upcoming elections on May 14, 2023, and the Chairman of the Supreme Election Board (YSK), Sadi Güven, has announced some crucial information regarding the number of voters in the country. According to Güven's statements, the total number of voters in Turkey is 64 million 113 thousand 941. Out of this, 50.6 percent are female voters, making up 30 million 710 thousand 790 voters, while the remaining 29 million 987 thousand 53 are male voters, representing 49.4 percent of the voter population.
Moreover, it has been revealed that a total of 4 million 904 thousand 672 voters will be participating in their first-ever election. The number of voters who are orthopedically and visually impaired is 989 thousand 543, and those aged 75 and above are 3 million 180 thousand 802.
