Additional funds to be allocated for projects that have received more than 2,000 votes in “Initiative Budget”

Additional 1.3 trillion soums will be allocated for the implementation of 1,309 projects, each of which participated in the 1st season of the “Initiative Budget” process in 2023 in accordance with the presidential order, received more than 2,000 votes, but was not declared the winner, the Ministry of Economy and Finance reported.

Projects for additional 1,182 mahallas voted by 4.3 million citizens will be put into practice.

In addition, an analysis of the projects in the fields of education, healthcare, sports facilities, development of the material-technical base, and other areas that received more than 1.5 thousand votes each, but did not win, will be carried out. In the budget request for 2024, it is planned to list the costs of their repair, equipment and purchase.

As a result, additional 304.6 billion soums will be allocated for repair, equipping and other projects in 164 schools, 30 kindergartens and 32 medical institutions in the republic.
