"Budapest Airport's Baggage Reclaim Development Nears Completion – Exclusive Photos"

Budapest Airport has completed the first phase of the expansion project at the Terminal 2A baggage reclaim hall. With two new, larger baggage carousels that occupy an area 520 sq. m larger than before, the waiting time for arriving passengers will reduce, ensuring faster and convenient baggage reclaim. The development includes a complete refurbishment of the area with new flooring, lighting, and retail counters. With the completion of the project, flights from Schengen countries will again be arriving at Terminal 2A. In 2019, Budapest Airport also refurbished the baggage reclaim area at Terminal 2B, and the increased capacity will now be available at both terminals during the summer peak season. The airport operator will start the second phase of the current investment after the summer which includes the installation of additional new baggage carousels. The total expenditure on the current development and refurbishment of the baggage reclaim area at Terminal 2A will be 1.82 billion forints.
