
Candidates for 2nd Region deputy from AK Party, CHP, MHP, IYI Party, and Green Left Party in 28th term Istanbul elections.

Voters in Istanbul's Second Region have begun searching for their preferred parliamentary candidates ahead of the upcoming election. With metropolitan areas seeing the highest levels of competition, political parties are putting forward strong candidates to attract votes. The Second Region comprises Bayrampaşa, Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Esenler, Eyüpsultan, Fatih, Gaziosmanpaşa, Kağıthane, Sarıyer, Sultangazi, Şişli and Zeytinburnu, and will elect 27 deputies from 4,341,423 voters.
The AK Party has put forward 27 candidates, including Suleyman Soylu, Halit Yerebakan, and Mehmet Önder Aksakal, while the CHP is fielding academic members, lawyers, and business people, including Namik Tan, Kadri Enis Berberoglu, and Ali Arman. The Good Party and Green Left Party are also competing, with Mehmetsatuk Buğra Kavuncu and Cengiz Çiçek among their candidates, respectively.
This year's election will see a total of 98 deputies elected from Istanbul to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, with the Second Region responsible for 27 seats. As Istanbul is one of Turkey's largest cities and an economic powerhouse, the outcome of the regional election will likely influence the national election.
