Car Plunges 60 Meters into Sea, Injures One Person
Peugeot Light Commercial Vehicle Flies off 3rd Tunnel in Kozlu District, Turkey
Late Monday night, an accident occurred at the exit of the 3rd Tunnel in Kozlu district, Değirmenağzı location. The Peugeot light commercial vehicle, driven by Muharrem E., went out of control at the tunnel exit and plunged into the sea from 60 meters. The license plate of the vehicle could not be identified.
Fortunately, Muharrem E. managed to escape the vehicle before it reached the sea, but he sustained injuries. The Kozlu Municipality Fire Department was notified and responded to the incident immediately. They were able to locate and rescue Muharrem E., who suffered injuries to various parts of his body.
With the assistance of the AFAD teams, the injured driver was transported to the main road and later transferred to the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Hospital. He is currently receiving treatment following the accident.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, the teams remain at the scene and have filed a report. It is fortunate that the driver was able to escape from the vehicle before it went into the sea, as the incident could have resulted in a worse outcome.
