Experts Warn of Dangerous Problems in Transatlantic Relations
Hungarian and American experts have co-authored an op-ed in National Interest raising concerns over the current state of transatlantic relations and highlighting possible solutions. They stress the importance of strong relations and mutual understanding between members of the transatlantic community, which will strengthen institutions like NATO and the EU. The experts warn of pathologies in transatlantic relations, including mirror-imaging politics, political infighting, ossifying orthodoxies, threats to free markets and energy insecurity. The authors suggest more cooperation and effort to develop plans to open up new markets with partners in Abraham Accord countries and the Middle Corridor.
