MSB responds to PKK/YPG attack in northern Syria.
Four Turkish soldiers were injured in an attack by the PKK/YPG terrorist organization in northern Syria. The attack reportedly took place in the Olive Branch and Euphrates Shield regions, and involved mortar and MLRA fire despite the ongoing Ramadan. The injured soldiers were immediately evacuated to Kilis State Hospital. In response to the attack, the targets were hit hard and the terrorists responded to in kind. The statement was made on the Ministry's Twitter account, calling attention to the ongoing violence in the region. Attacks by the PKK/YPG pose a continuous threat to the security of the region, and Turkey will continue to respond strongly to such attacks.
