Night of Power: A special occasion tonight

Muslims across the world are celebrating the Night of Power, which is considered to be one of the most significant nights in Islamic belief. The night is declared to be "better than a thousand months" and is believed to be the night when the Quran was first revealed.
Cengiz İşkey, President of the Union of Religious Officials, highlighted the importance of the night in a message he published on the occasion. He stated that this is an opportunity to get rid of eternal torment and that Muslims should use the night in the most productive way. He called for Muslims to repent of their mistakes and sins and ask for Allah's forgiveness with determination and awareness not to approach the same mistakes again.
İşkey emphasizes that the Quran, the life guide that has been revealed as the greatest sign of Allah's mercy to His servants, has enlightened the horizons of humanity for 14 centuries. He congratulated the Islamic world on the Night of Power and wished that the prayers and supplications made on this night would contribute to the unity and solidarity of the Islamic world and the peace and tranquility of humanity.
The Night of Power is celebrated on the 27th day of Ramadan, the month of mercy and forgiveness in Islamic belief. Muslims around the world take part in special prayers, recitation of the Quran, and other religious practices to commemorate this significant night.
