Turkish Folk Music Artist Sümer Ezgü Promotes Culture in TRNC
Turkish folk music artist Sümer Ezgü is currently in the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) filming a program to showcase the country's culture and traditional features. The program, called "We Came from Anatolia with Sümer Ezgü", is being shot at the Güzelyurt Municipality Culture House and will be broadcasted on TRT1 screens with the presentation of Ezgü himself.
During the filming, Ezgü met with the Mayor of Güzelyurt, Mahmut Özçınar, and thanked him for hosting the program. He specifically chose Cyprus to bring its culture, folk songs, dances, and folklore to the fore, as he believes that the country has a very wide cultural resource. The program aims to emphasize the importance of preserving cultural values and to introduce local artists who will contribute to the promotion of cultural wealth.
Mayor Özçınar, on the other hand, expressed his pleasure in hosting Ezgü in their region, which has cultural richness in the center of citrus fruits. He also presented the artist with oranges in a basket as a token of appreciation.
The program's shooting marks a significant effort in promoting the TRNC's culture and traditional features, and it is expected to attract a significant audience. With this initiative, Ezgü hopes to further emphasize the importance of preserving cultural heritage and values.
