"The Future of Tatar Republic: In Your Hands"

The Primary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education in Northern Cyprus kicked off its 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day celebration activities with an opening cortege. Teachers and students from Nicosia Central schools joined Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu in laying wreaths on the Atatürk Bust, after which they marched to the Presidency accompanied by the Security Forces band. In a speech given in the presidential garden, President Ersin Tatar congratulated the children's holiday and said that there is hope for a peaceful and secure future in the country thanks to the struggles of the past. Tatar also valued and loved the children and reminded them that the future of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus belongs to them. The event paid tribute to the Champion Angels Team, who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake disaster in Turkey. President Tatar called on the teachers and students to work diligently for their sake and recognize the importance of their work.
