"Togg'lu Sahur Takes Over Historical Square, Causes Overflow"
Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank recently shared a post on his social media account in Bursa asking young people if they were ready to make sahur (pre-dawn meal during Ramadan) with Togg, Turkey's first domestic car, instead of the traditional Bursa Tahanlı and simit. After his post went viral, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş offered to buy tea for the sahur, which took place in the Historical Abdal Square.
At the sahur, Minister Varank offered Bursa Tahanlısı, bagels and pastries to the youth. He also mentioned that Togg was produced in Gemlik and that they were working to remove many brands like Togg from the city. The Minister praised the hundreds of young people working at Togg and said they were the key to successfully producing Turkey's first domestic car.
The sahur was attended by many young people, including those from Gemlik, Togg's capital. They expressed their happiness at being part of the event and thanked the Minister for his contributions to the project. The sahur also featured the presentation of a Bursaspor jersey to the Minister and the "Relic Ticket" campaign of the football club.
Additionally, Minister Varank gave young people an exciting ride in Togg at the TEKNOFEST event he attended. The young people expressed their amazement and excitement at the smart device's acceleration, which Minister Varank attributed to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's vision for Turkey's first domestic smart car. The Minister also showcased the smart device's unique features, such as the ability to turn for a long time without shifting wheels.
