ISIPAB Condemns Provocative Action Against Islam
The Islamic world has risen in outrage over the condemnation of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop as the Term President of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (ISIPAB) by some Swedish protesters. ISIPAB Secretary General Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass described the provocative action against the feelings of Muslims as the highest level of hatred against Islam and Muslims.
Niass emphasized that the perpetrators of this heinous act should be punished, and that if the Swedish authorities do not take deterrent measures against these criminals, all responsibility will be theirs. He added that touching the holy Qur'an, which is the holiest of Muslims, will never be accepted.
"The perpetrators of this heinous act preferred to perform in front of the Turkish Embassy, where it is impossible for any Muslim to be unaware of the services he has rendered to this true religion in the past and today," Niass said. He also stated that while this action poses a challenge to all Muslims, it represents a special challenge to ISIPAB since the Turkish Grand National Assembly is currently the chairman of the Union.
The Islamic world is calling for justice and for the authorities to take tough action against the perpetrators of this heinous act of disrespect against Islam. The incident marks a new level of intolerance and hatred against Islam and Muslims, and it is imperative that immediate and decisive action be taken to ensure that such acts do not recur.
