Western Hungary's Popular Thermal Spa to Remain Closed this Year.
Renovation works mean that the thermal bath of Csorna, one of Hungary's most popular thermal spas, will not open this year, according to termalonline.hu. The 50-year-old spa, known for its high salt, sodium and potassium content, is recommended for patients with musculoskeletal, gynaecological and respiratory diseases, as well as stomach ulcers, gall bladder problems, intestinal disorders and psoriasis. The renovation, expected to be completed in 2024, includes the renewal of mechanical equipment, pools and buffets, and began last year after the municipality acquired ownership of the thermal well.
