Women's Handball Team Secures Spot in World Championships
Hungarian Women’s Handball team have qualified for the World Championship tournament co-hosted by Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. They secured their place with a 34-28 victory against Iceland. At one point, Hungary was leading with eight goals but after Katrin Klujber's sent off, Iceland managed to close the gap with a 5-0 run. However, Hungary held off the pressure and emerged as winners. The tournament will take place from November 30 to December 17 and will see Hungary participate in its 24th Women’s World Championship. The world champion will qualify for next summer’s Olympics in Paris, while the 2nd-7th place finishers will play a qualifying round.
